Robert Stellingwerf is the owner of Stellingwerf Consulting. He has been supporting NASA with SPHC code simulations and analysis in Constellation/Ares I design, Return to Flight activities, the Columbia Accident Investigation, and the Space Launch Initiative. His other experience includes operations modeling and analysis for financial institutions, market modeling / analysis in the agricultural industry, and over 12 years of upper mangement experience.
Bob is the author of 85 refereed publications and eight invited reviews. Experience includes Los Alamos National Laboratory (Scientific Staff Member), Center for Adaptive Systems Applications (Co-Founder and Operations Analytics Division Manager), and Mission Research Corp (Plasma Physics Division Manager).
He taught physics and astronomy at the University of Colorado and Columbia University, was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rutgers University, and held the position of Research Professor at the University of New Mexico. He has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado, an M.S. in Physics from the University of Colorado, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Rice University. Bob attended the Summer Science Program ( ssp.org ) in 1964.
